Details: A Guide to House Design in Britain
Published by Prestel in 2003
This book was an early version of ‘House’. It is a photographic introduction to five hundred years of British domestic architecture and takes each architectural feature, for example doors, windows, chimneys, gables, balconies etc. and shows how they have developed over the centuries. It also looks in detail at building materials: stone, wood, iron, brick, terracotta, plasterwork.
